The pay range is $111,200.00 – $200,200.00

As a Senior Product Ops Manager – GenAI , you will play a pivotal role in solving problems within the Digital product organization using product methodology and innovative technology. You will be responsible for exploring and evaluating a broad range of use cases where GenAI can drive value across the product organization in improv ing core product practices , beginning with a focus on qualitative and quantitative analytics and experimentation . Your product mindset and ability to work comfortably in ambiguity will allow you t o identify and focus on the most critical problems to solve and to test solutions t o uncover what is feasible , usable, and valuable.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Problem Validation & Prioritization: Own the refinement and prioritization of problems for Gen AI use cases related to using qualitative and quantitative data to drive decision making as well as rapid and continuous learning.
  • Hypothesis Generation and Testing: Develop hypotheses on how GenAI can address identified problems, and experiment to test and refine these hypotheses.
  • Solution Development: Test and learn your way to developing GenAI -driven solutions that measurably improve areas of product practice, aligned with Digital and Enterprise Product’s organizational goals.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Engage effectively with a broad group of partners to develop problem statements and use cases, evaluate the best candidates for experimentation, and align around outcomes. Partner appropriately with the GenAI program team to work within enterprise guidelines.

About You:

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of combined experience across product management, data analytics, and /or data engineering
  • Deep interest in and understanding of GenAI , with a track record of experimenting with AI-driven solutions
  • Experience working in an agile environment (e.g., user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and lead through uncertainty
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex concepts for diverse audiences, including senior leadership, operations, product, and technology teams
  • Proven ability to influence and facilitate cross-functional collaboration

This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid (known internally at Target as ‘Flex for Your Day’) work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that’s not a Target location, does not have a desk at a Target location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role may be performed either remote or onsite at a Target location depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
