We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Transcriptionist/ Medical Coder to join our dynamic team at The Elite Job. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our healthcare records and billing processes. Key Responsibilities:
Transcribe medical dictation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established standards.
Assign appropriate medical codes to procedures and diagnoses for billing and insurance purposes.
Review and interpret patient medical records to ensure proper coding and documentation.
Maintain a deep understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to resolve coding issues and discrepancies.
Keep up-to-date with changes in healthcare regulations and coding guidelines.
Safeguard patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Required Skills:
Proven experience as a Medical Transcriptionist/ Medical Coder.
Certification in Medical Coding (e.g., CPC, CCS-P) preferred.
Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding systems.
Excellent knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to adapt to changing healthcare regulations and coding guidelines.
Proficiency in using medical coding software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
